Ohaus Combines Speed and Cleanliness With New Washdown Checkweighing Scale/Portable Models Designed for Harsh and Wet Environment Applications
Ohaus Corporation, a leading manufacturer of weighing equipment for industrial, laboratory and other applications is introducing the CKW Checkweigher Series, a new easy-to-use line of checkweighing scales constructed with advanced open-architecture for maximum food safety conformance.
(PRWEB) January 16, 2005 -- Supporting HACCP Compliance, the CKW Checkweigher
Series is both NSF certified and USDA-AMS accepted. The CKW Checkweigher Series,
brings together the speed and accuracy for which the Ohaus brand is known, along
with a new design for complete cleaning and strength to withstand the harsh and
wet environments of industrial and food processing businesses. The rigid
stainless steel scale features a hollow column and is constructed with no
visible threads or sharp corners, minimizing food traps and reducing cleaning
times. The CKW Checkweigher also features an extended skirt that curtails water
or other material from getting into the frame.
The CKW Series
easy-to-clean construction conforms with many rigid food safety regulations
where General Purpose to Washdown weighing applications are involved. Combined
with multiple configurable software, the scales eliminate numerous complications
associated with checkweighing while enabling the user to improve productivity,
save time and reduce costs.
Designed for fast set-up with a dedicated
Target key, the CKW Checkweigher Series boasts multiple configurations for users
to checkweigh for their specific operational needs. With a straightforward and
easy-to-navigate interface and sophisticated software, the scales are designed
to give users flexibility other checkweighers cant match. It supports multiple
weighting units and allows setpoint target configurability by range, weight and
percent variance.
The CKW Checkweigher offers a high-contrast adjustable
LED display that provides checkweighing indications by 3 color 24 segment bar
graph, beeper and weight display alert. The selectable display control can be
configured to blank out or flash with selected checkweigh conditions.
Checkweighing methods include Positive, Negative, Zero or Net modes.
The
new scales also include built-in external remote input to Tare, Zero or Print,
and built-in RS232. For further system connectivity and use in industrial
process applications, optional RS422/485 and AC/DC relay outputs are available.
The CKW Checkweigher Series produces 1:6000 or 1:7500 maximum displayed
readability and is available in 4 x capacity modes (6lb, 15lb, 30/lb and 60lb).
Other standard features include:
Stainless steel IP67 load cell and NEMA
4X/IP66 Indicator.
Operator lock-out, so once the Checkweigher is
configured, it can be locked so that targets and settings can not be
accidentally changed.
Adjustable non-slip rubber leveling feet.
Strategically located rubber load pads and down-stops for heavy-duty protection
against shock and overload.
Available in two platform sizes (10 x 10
and 12 x 12), the CKW Checkweigher Series offers a universal column mounting
making it compatible for use with other Ohaus bench scale products. It ships
with a 100-240 VAC internal Universal power supply, and offers an optional
10-hour internal rechargeable NiMH battery.
