Revitalization Flourishes in Dorchester with Facade Freshening, Menu Additions & Official Patio Opening at The Blarney Stone
Popular Twilight Tuesday Tasting event will feature a 3-course BBQ July 12th. New awnings on store fronts, more dining options, and landscaped patios - this is Dorchester?
(PRWEB) June 28, 2005 -- The Blarney Stone restaurant in Field’s Corner, part
of the Eat Drink Laugh Restaurant Group (EDL), has actively embraced Mayor
Menino’s Dorchester Avenue revitalization effort which is designed to refresh
local storefronts & businesses along Dorchester Avenue, as well as decrease
congestion.
With its recent unveiling of new awnings, redesigned sign,
landscaped patio, and a revamped creative American menu, The Blarney Stone
continues to give residents of Dorchester and beyond a fun, stylish, and
friendly neighborhood dining destination to call their own. “The Blarney Stone
has been a model neighborhood restaurant, with a great approach to keeping their
dining and entertainment experience fresh and enjoyable,” said Andre Porter,
director of the City of Boston’s Office of Business Development. “We should be
so lucky as to have similar establishments in all of our neighborhood business
districts.”
The new summer dinner menu features dishes such as ginger
salmon, warm spinach & bacon salad, and baked chicken rigatoni, with new
Sunday brunch options as well. Additionally, Twilight Tuesday Tasting’s, the
popular 3-course dining prix fixe available the second Tuesday of each month,
continues for the summer. Taking place Tuesday, July 12th, the next special
Tasting will feature BBQ-themed choices, which will be grilled directly on the
landscaped patio. Pre-seating tickets are now available.
Recently
awarded "Businessman of the Year” by the Fields Corner Civic Association,
managing partner Gordon ‘Ben’ Johnson says, “Dorchester is becoming a mix of the
South End and Jamaica Plain, which all went through their tough times but are
now popular place to live. It’s close to the city, the neighborhoods are rapidly
developing, and The Blarney Stone is in the center of it all, doing what it can
to transform the area.”
