company of over 1100 Hot Stuff Pizza®, Hot Stuff Food Xpress™ and Hot Stuff Food
on the Go™ locations is officially changing its corporate name to Hot Stuff
Foods™. Company President and CEO Des Hague noted, “Hot Stuff® is our heritage,
our first national brand and the foundation that has allowed the company to
build the largest multi-branded food solutions system in the country.” Hague
says the name change makes sense on a number of levels including the ability to
fully leverage both the stronger consumer recognition of our flagship brand and
the scale of the company (Orion is the largest fully integrated pizza franchisor
in the country). This move will also continue to accelerate the growth of the
Hot Stuff® brand, which has been one of the fastest growing QSR concepts in
non-traditional channels for the past two decades. “In fiscal 2004 we opened or
upgraded a (predominantly Hot Stuff®) location every 20 hours,” Hague reported,
“In 2005 the plan is to open or expand a location every 15 hours.” January
results reveal that the company is ahead of schedule, opening or expanding a
unit at the phenomenal rate of one every 9 hours.
“The Hot Stuff® name
has always been associated with great pizza,” Hague pointed out, “and in the
last few years, we have aggressively added several innovative components to
reach our objective to make Hot Stuff® a 24/7 food solutions franchise. We have
implemented a philosophy and commitment that has become our corporate mantra –
“Creating Value…Every Day!” According to Hague, each Hot Stuff® concept is
designed to include the company’s popular pizzas and may include a full range of
food solutions such as Good to Go Eats™ (a grab-n-go initiative) and Hot Stuff’s

Hague says that by establishing
a “brand parentage” for the company, Hot Stuff Foods™ will be a team focused
