Travel Website to Fund Church’s Missions, Outreach Ministry

New travel affinity fundraising program extends the reach of fundraising efforts for churches and other non-profit organizations. Members and supporters are not required to dig deeper into their pockets for the organization to benefit.

(PRWEB) August 11, 2005 -- New travel affinity fundraising program extends the reach of fundraising efforts for churches and other non-profit organizations. Members and supporters are not required to dig deeper into their pockets for the organization to benefit.

"Fulfilling our vision of being a 'Reaching, Mending, Training and Sending' church requires us to think outside-of-the-box when it comes to raising funds for our Outreach & Evangelism Ministry," explained Arthur Comer, Administrator for the New Canaan Baptist Church. "God continues to show us ways that He is able to open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings."

New sources of revenues are now available with the establishment of New Canaan's on-line travel website. Not only our members, but also supporters nationwide now have an opportunity to help us "reach out to our community, to our nation and to the world."

A mission's team from New Canaan just recently returned from Liberia, Africa where they were able to experience first-hand the great needs of that nation, and to see how mission funds are helping to rebuild churches and the lives of people in the Civil War-devastated communities. Simply by booking their travel through our "private label" website, members and supporters can actively contribute to our Outreach and Evangelism Ministry, helping us to change lives.

What is so phenomenal about this program is that we are not asking members or supporters to dig deeper into their pockets to support our cause, and we are not asking anyone to pay more for their travels. We are only asking that they make a simple shift in where they book their personal and business travel.

Commissions are already included, not added, in the rates that travel vendors charge; it is just a matter of whom you want to pay them to, Expedia®, Travelocity®, Orbitz® or New Canaan. New Canaan will receive 40% of the commissions, in the form of royalties, from travel booked on its website.

“Our website has all the features of highly advertised Expedia®, Travelocity® and Orbitz®, and many features that they do not have, such as the ability to book golf tee times, send flowers and apply for passports & visas,” said Comer.

It even has a Honeymoon Bridal Registry where friends and relatives of the bridal couple can pay a portion or the entire cost of travel or special activities that the couple would like to do on their dream honeymoon (no more toasters or pans).
