year, Nova Religio presents a comprehensive interpretation and examination of
alternative religious movements. Original research, literature reviews, and
conference updates keep religious studies scholars, sociologists,
anthropologists, and historians up to date and well informed on a wide range of
topics, including:

• Religious

Douglas E. Cowan is Associate Professor of Religious Studies and
Sociology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He is the author of
"Cyberhenge: Modern Pagans on the Internet" and "Bearing False Witness? An
Introduction to the Christian Countercult."
Rebecca Moore, Associate
Professor, San Diego State University, is a recognized expert on Peoples Temple
and the events at Jonestown, Guyana in November 1978. She is also the author of
the upcoming book, "Voices of Christianity: A Global Introduction," and
co-editor of "Peoples Temple and Black Religion in America."
Catherine
Wessinger is Professor of Religious Studies at Loyola University New Orleans.
She is editor of "Women’s Leadership in Marginal Religions: Explorations Outside
the Mainstream," editor of "Millennialism, Persecution, and Violence: Historical
Cases," and author of "How the Millennium Comes Violently: From Jonestown to
Heaven’s Gate."
