The End of the Mystery Offers New Challenges for Unaware Christians
Our understanding of God has greatly increased over the past three years with the passing of the so-called mystery of the Trinity. The news of this colossal event however, has yet to reach many of the members within Christianity.
While Christianity is crying out for a greater revelation of God, God has
already answered their prayer. Could there be a greater revelation of God than
revealing the mysterious Trinity. For nearly 1700 years, Christianity has been
plagued with the embarrassment of having its most important doctrine referred to
as a mystery. Certainly when the conclave of bishops (better known as the
council of Nicea), set out to clarify the Trinity in 325AD, they could not have
envisioned such a thing.
The set of documents produced by that council
did an excellent job of explaining and defining the Trinity and most Christian
churches still rely on those teachings today. The mystery came about because the
council unknowingly excluded two important details from the documents. For
centuries, Bible scholars and Church leaders searched diligently for those
missing details without much success. Finally, at the onset of this century, the
answer was revealed. The findings actually achieved the council’s original goal
of bringing clarity to the Trinity. The only thing necessary to completely
remove all evidence of the mystery from the Trinity is to incorporate these
findings into the present doctrine. While this is may seem like an easy task, it
may prove to be extremely difficult.
Without a doubt this is news of
historic proportions for the Church and sure to open new doors with challenging
opportunities. These new findings not only produce new expectations for
evangelism, meaning non-believers will have to take another look at
Christianity, but will also enable the elimination of analogies such as the
3-leaf clover, the 3-parts of an egg and the 3-stages of water to explain the
Trinity.
Still, the biggest challenge facing this landmark occurrence is
skepticism within the Church. After 1700 years, many within the Church have
resigned themselves to the tradition that the Trinity shall never become
comprehensible even though God states in the Book of Isaiah that He has never
kept secrets from us from the beginning. Even so, it will be hard to convince
many leaders and scholars who have lived with the mystery all their lives.
Another challenge is promoting it to those who oppose it. The consensus is that
this is merely another ploy to try to convince them of something that cannot be
known as they refuse to even look at the evidence.
One further point to
consider — most Christians are unaware of the news. While Christians should be
rejoicing in the streets there is a deafening silence, and without publicity, no
one will know. If no one knows, we go on living a mystery. If we go on living a
mystery, we not only lose the opportunities, but we also leave our next
generation with the same old legacy we were taught. Removing the mystery reveals
more than just the Godhead, but issues concerning life itself. We have yet to
comprehend what results these findings will generate, but the impact shall be
felt forever. Who knows, maybe someday there will be dancing in the
streets.
