Audition Now for Hip Hop Dance Teams - Orange County California
Audition for Hip Hop Dance Company Now Forming - Children, Teens, Adults Now Forming
(PRWEB) April 17, 2005 -- The Performer's Academy of Orange County is now
accepting applications for hip hop dance troupe now being formed. Auditions will
be held at the Laguna Hills studio by program director Jose De La Cruz.
These troups will encompass three age groups - 9-12, 13-16, 17+. The
prerequesite is a good sense of rhythm and desire. The candidates need to
possess the ability and natural rhythm to dance, take direction and the desire
to dance hip hop. A professional attitude and commitment to the team is also
required.
The troups will meet initially three times per week and work
on choreography for performances.
Advanced level teams are also forming.
This team must be video quality ready. Competitions will be arranged on the
state and national level.
Jose De La Cruz is from The Broadway Dance
Center in NYC - home of Britney Spears, N'SYNC and many other performing
artists. Jose has been dubbed "the hardest working dancer in the world" by
Darrin Henson of Darrin's Dance Groves fame. Students of Jose's have included
celebrities like Natalie Portman and Brook Shields.
Jose's resume can be
seen in full at The Performer's Academy website address www.performersacademy.net.
If selected the cost to
remain on the team will be kept minimal. The classes are $6.50 per class and a
montly membership fee of $25 per month.
"Several booking agents have
represented interest in booking out the dancers so we are excited about getting
the ball rolling," said Natalie Costa, President of The Performer's Academy. "We
are often asked to perform on community stages throughout Orange County and
bringing a group of hip, hot - hip hop dancers will be amazing. Jose is a
phenominal teacher with great credentials and I'm excited. This is going to be
fun." said Costa.
The Performer's Academy has on staff film directors
who have a long list of commercial succesful films starring some of the biggest
names in Hollywood. The commmitment to quality acting programs with affordable
prices has made this facility Orange County's best kept secret.
"This
little school in Orange County packs a powerful punch." says Jeff Celentano, the
executive director of drama and a film director, writer and former actor. "There
is no place in Orange County that has a staff with resumes like we have. This is
not a staff of soap stars, wannabe's or has-beens. This is a great hot spot of
major talent here to teach the craft - the way it needs to be taught. As a
director I know what I need from the talent. I teach my classes like I'm
directing the film. I need them to perform - and I get it. These students here
are amazing."
The teaching staff is the reason LA's best agencies send
us referrals. "You know you're doing something right when you get referral
business", says Costa. "This school is a labor of love....and every day when I
see these actors perform, the singers singing, the hip hop going off, and the
baby ballerina's dancing...I say to myself...this makes it all worth
it."
Check out the resumes and staff at the Performers Academy website.

Our dance motto
is.....
"it's not about the price, it's about the choreography!"
