"Gold Fever" attracts readers as Kathryn J.S. Long talks about her mystery novel, OKLAHOMA'S GOLD, at Arabica Coffee House in Green, Ohio and Barberton Public Library in Barberton, Ohio
The fever of OKLAHOMA'S GOLD has captured the hearts and minds of many readers with its mystery, intrigue, romance, and adventure as many now ask, "When will the next one be out?"
GREEN, OH (PRWEB)September 22, 2004: With two upcoming events at Arabica
Coffee House in Green, Ohio on Saturday, September 25th and at Barberton Public
Library in Barberton, Ohio on Saturday, October 30th, author Kathy Long will
have the opportunity to answer that question and more. This local author,
originally from Barberton, Ohio, will be signing copies of her novel, OKLAHOMA'S
GOLD and talking about what pleases her most -- writing this book. But the story
doesn't stop here. Kathy has also written a second novel, A PLEASANT VIEW. She
will gladly be telling visitors coming to her signings about that creative
endeavor, which she hopes will be published and available sometime next year.
OKLAHOMA'S GOLD is an exciting, fast-paced mystery loaded with
southwestern charm. Characters such as Emma Thomas, the town matriarch,
demonstrate the strong-spirited, feisty side of its people, but mixed with a
warm, caring nature. The story has its heroes as well as its villains. Jess
Clinton, the young newcomer, and Daniel, the Indian ranch hand, work together in
fighting the bad guys. Of course, no one in the story is truly certain who those
bad guys are. So, at every turn they —Jess, Daniel, Emma — unearth more clues in
trying to discover who attacked Fred Clinton and to find out why most of the
Indian ranchers are being vandalized. Add to the mix some Native American magic,
myth, and medicine; mysterious happenings from the past; and a murder or two --
you have one entertaining novel.
Kathy will be at Arabica at 11:00 am on
Septmember 25th to sell and sign copies of her book. And then again at Barberton
Public Library at 1:00 pm on October 30th where she will also do a reading and a
discussion about her works. Personally signed copies of the book will be
available for purchase @ $20.00. Cash or check only. OKLAHOMA'S GOLD may also be
purchased at many online sites such as www.amazon.com and is available
at Borders and Waldenbooks in the North Canton area.
