Psychology and Spirituality: Enneagram Experts and Enthusiasts from around the World Converging on San Francisco August 11-14 for Annual Conference
From August 11 to 14, 2005, practitioners and students of the Enneagram will head to San Francisco, California, for the 11th annual conference of the International Enneagram Association, with the theme, “Widening Our World with the Enneagram.”
(PRWEB) June 18, 2005 -- An ancient tool for interpersonal understanding,
self-awareness, and personal growth, the Enneagram now holds a significant place
in present-day psychotherapy, spiritual direction, and health care and business
communication. From August 11 to 14, 2005, practitioners and students of the
Enneagram will head to San Francisco, California, for the 11th annual conference
of the International Enneagram Association, with the theme, “Widening Our World
With the Enneagram.”
Major highlights of the conference include a keynote
speech by cutting-edge psychiatrist and “interpersonal neurobiology” researcher,
Professor Daniel Siegel of the UCLA Center for Culture, Brain, and Development,
a half-day pre-conference presentation by renowned psycho-spiritual teacher and
author, A. H. Almaas (founder of the Ridhwan School and the Diamond Approach to
psycho-spiritual development), and presentations by leading Enneagram teachers,
including most of the founders of the IEA and several bestselling authors, on a
wide array of topics.
For those unfamiliar with the Enneagram as a
psycho-spiritual tool, a special pre-conference day event has been scheduled to
provide a one-day introduction to the nine Enneagram personality types through
panels of educated self-observers providing personal testimony about the
experience of their type in everyday life. The IEA will also feature an
International Event on the pre-conference day morning, providing a forum for
cross-cultural dialogue about Enneagram work happening all over the world.
In addition to these highlights and over 40 sessions of the
highest-quality Enneagram work being done internationally today, the IEA will
also host a welcome reception, a luncheon for business consultants, a silent
auction to support the IEA’s forthcoming Enneagram journal, and a dance party on
Saturday night. Receptions and evening events will give conference participants
a chance to socialize and network with like-minded Enneagram
enthusiasts.
As Ginger Lapid-Bogda, president of the IEA, explains, “The
Enneagram is a profound and powerful psychological and spiritual system for
knowing yourself and developing healthy and positive relations with other
people. The IEA's Conference offers the rare opportunity to meet and learn from
world-renowned teachers. It is an event not to be missed, whether you are new to
the Enneagram or already know its potency and want to take your understanding to
a deeper level.”
Registration for the conference is handled through the
IEA web site at www.internationalenneagram.org or by calling the IEA at (513)
232-5054.
