World Talent Quest Presents Kim Char Meredith in Boston Area Concerts March 17 & 18; Working with One World Beat to Raise Funds for Third-World Education Initiatives

World Talent Quest proudly presents Hawaii Music Award winner Kim Char Meredith March 17 & 18 in the Boston area. The first show of this mini-MA tour will benefit two organizations under the auspice of One World Beat, a non-profit organization that unites musicians of all genres to convey a message of hope through their music. Meredith's stint as opening act for Melissa Etheridge in Honolulu "was perhaps the best concert pairing of the year" (Honolulu Star-Bulletin). Response outside her home state has been equally effusive: "If this woman gets the opportunities that she deserves she could very well become a diva that the entire world will know about in a very short time..." (Music Dish).

(PRWEB) March 11, 2005 -- World Talent Quest proudly presents Hawaii Music Award winner Kim Char Meredith March 17 & 18 in the Boston area. The first show of this mini-MA tour will benefit two organizations under the auspice of One World Beat, a non-profit organization that unites musicians of all genres to convey a message of hope through their music.

In keeping with it’s primary goal of "music making a difference", One World Beat is focusing awareness and fundraising on education through its 2005 campaign, "Give A Child A Chance". One World Beat and it’s affiliated artists (Kim Char Meredith and a host of others) are donating to two organizations: Outside the Dream, a US-based nonprofit working in Uganda and India to provide school fees and supplies to orphans, street children, working youth, and other vulnerable children in Africa and Africa; and Liberation Through Education, a nonprofit based in Haiti and the US. LTE builds schools in rural mountainous areas where there are none otherwise, helps students with fees, supplies, and meals, and is planning to develop a micro-credit program for families which will help them pay for their child's education. One World Beat’s list of supporting artists includes Phil Collins, Paula Abdul and Alicia Keys.

New York concert reviewer Jed Ryan noted: I am convinced that whether on disc or live, no one can express sheer joy and happiness better than Kim Char Meredith...Her voice is undeniably sweet, but like the other women of rock 'n' roll, she can belt… In person, she is just as captivating as her music."

Meredith will be performing songs from her award-winning "Slender Line of Lavender" cd (Passionate Women Records) and her latest release, "Give and Take" (PWR). More information available at www.kimchar.com.
