the world faces at the moment it is imperative to follow the guidance shown by
the Holy Qu’ran to achieve success. You need Salat, guidance and success in
faith.
He quoted from the Holy Qu’ran about the closeness to God that can
be achieved by Salat (prayer) and the acceptance of prayers that can be
achieved. God has informed us, he said, that we may escape from the clutches of
Satan and fulfill our obligations to God and obligations to man by following the
injunctions given. He also emphasized that the most outstanding prayer is Sura
Fatiha, the opening chapter of the Holy Qu’ran, especially the verse “Guide us
on the right path, the paths of the righteous” meaning the ways of Prophets, the
Truthful, the Martyrs, the righteous. These are the paths which are rewards from
Allah. He urged that the Ahmadis should benefit from the true spirit of Salat
and prayers, so that regularity in prayers should become a hallmark of an
Ahmadi
The Ahmadiyya Leaderwhilst addressing 25,500 representatives from
80 countries described the progress of the community throughout the world. He

of the world. He also told the audience that during the year 184, new mosques
had been built. Another 135 mosques were added by towns and villages converting
to Ahmadiyyat.
Since 1984 when anti Ahmadiyya legislation was passed in
Pakistan, the community has been blessed with 13776 new mosques. This includes
significant increases in Indonesia, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Benin, Senegal and
Bangladesh. 90 new countries received the message of Ahmadiyyat since 1984.
During the last year 189 new preaching Centers have been established including
18 in Indonesia. There are 1587 Centers in total in 85 countries. The 3 new
countries this year include Gibraltar, Moldova and Cuba. Altogether Ahmadiyyat
has expanded to another 985 locations.
To fulfill the mission of
spreading the message of Islam throughout the world various new books have been
published, many with new translations. Over 200,000 items of literature were
published from the UK with more from other presses around the world. The Holy
Qu’ran has been translated into Uzbek and also into a dialect of the Mauritian
language. This brings the total number of translations to 60 languages, with 21
others in progress.
The total number of new persons joining the Community

Whilst
commenting on the work done by various departments, he said that the work of the

department is active in advocating against persecution and human rights
violations wherever they occur. He also praised the work of the children’s cook
committee.
He was pleased with the work of Muslim Television Ahmadiyya, a
free 24 hour satellite TV channel available on Sky Digital Channel 807. He said
that programs were now available on mobile telephones.
He commended the
activities of the Alternative energy committee whose aim is to provide drinking

Commenting on
the work of the charity organization ‘Humanity First’ run by the Ahmadiyya
Muslim Community, he said aid continued to be delivered to those areas where
natural disasters and epidemics had occurred during the last year especially
during the tsunami disaster.
He gave glad tidings about the purchase of
a new 208 acre community centre in surrey.
Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad,
Worldwide Spiritual Head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, after taking the
Initiation and Pledge of loyalty from over 25,500 attendees and many more
millions worldwide via MTA satellite channel delivered his final address to the
convention by referring to all disputes existing between Muslim groups and said
“surely such adverse conditions demand that God should have sent his Promised
Reformer?”.
To achieve this, he said, we must fulfill our obligations to
God and also the obligations due to man and creation. Minor differences between
Muslims must be removed by following the wonderful teachings of Islam about good
relations between mankind. All Muslims are brothers, and like one body there
should be no enmity between them. These differences can be eliminated by
abandoning internal and false Gods, by helping to establish the truth of the
Real God. The best model to follow is that of the Holy Prophet of Islam, Peace
be upon him.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was founded in 1889 in a
small town Qadian, in Punjab, India. Its founder, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad
(1835-1908) claimed to be the Promised Reformer of the age. Ahmadiyyat stands
for the brotherhood of mankind and tries to establish peace on earth through
love, persuasion and tolerance. It is a spiritual organization and has no
political agenda.
