Leading Islamic Matrimonial Website MuslimIntro.com Offers All Services Free of Charge; Abolishes Subscription/Premium Service
A leading Islamic online matrimonial introductions website MuslimIntro.com (http://www.muslimintro.com/) has today announced that in response to growing client demand for a free service, it will now be offering all its services completely free of charge. The website's premium subscription service has been terminated, and all features are now available free.
(PRWEB) February 17, 2005 -- MuslimIntro.com was started in July 2003 by a
husband and wife team from the UK. Muslims from across the world have been using
this site to find their ideal marriage partners.
"As
Muslims, we do not believe in having boyfriends or girlfriends, and we obey the
Quran when it restricts the mixing between men and women to certain limited
situations," says Mr Abdul Malik, founder and webmaster of the site.
"Consequently, Muslims in many societies are turning to the Internet rather than
the nightclub or party scene in order to find a like-minded and compatible
spouse."
Visitors to the site can create a very extensive personal
profile, detailing their likes, dislikes, interests, and plans for the future.
They can also search for people of the opposite gender who meet their
requirements and contact them directly and discretely through the
website.
"Initially, we required people to take out a 6-monthly
subscription to the site costing $25, and this was a very popular option,"
reports Mr Abdul Malik. "However, due to the success and growth of the site,
recently we have been overwhelmed by angry protests from people all over the
world who cannot afford the payment, yet who felt that this website was their
only chance to find a suitable marriage partner of their dreams. We were even
accused of denying people their chance for happiness in life...!"
"You
cannot disappoint and frustrate nice ordinary people in that way. It's just not
right, and we started to feel very guilty about it..." explains Mr Abdul Malik.
This was the reasoning behind the decision, on public demand, to make all the
facilities available free of charge.
The website's administrative team
have reviewed their operating procedures and by cutting back on certain
cost-intensive but under-used features, and building alternative revenue
streams, they have been able to maintain a viable website despite stopping the
subscriptions.
"It was a challenging decision, but inevitable, given the
success of the site," reckons Mr Abdul Malik. "We have no regrets though. It has
been immensely satisfying being able to allow more people to use this website
freely, and we have increased our rate of successful
introductions."
