Ullmann Financial President Publishes Guide on Identity Theft
Glenn Ullmann announces the release of his identity theft guide, "Safeguarding Your Identity In-Flight Manual™."
Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (PRWEB via PR Web
Direct) May 18, 2005 -- Glenn Ullmann, president of Ullmann Financial, today
announces the release of his guide, "Safeguarding Your Identity In-Flight
Manual™." The former Air Force pilot uses an in-flight check list as a model
to:
* educate people on how someone’s identity can be stolen;
*
identify ways to help prevent identity theft;
* and explain what victims
need to do after a theft has occurred.
Ullmann, a professional speaker,
recently made a presentation on the topic at the Seminar for Legal Professionals
in Jacksonville, FL.
The Federal Trade Commission reports that 500,000
people a year are victims of identity theft. Over the past six months, companies
such as data broker Nexis Lexis and DSW Shoe Warehouse have reported that
intruders may have accessed personal details such as the names, addresses,
Social Security, driver license and/or credit card numbers of thousands of
people. Earlier this year, Bank of America reported lost computer data tapes
containing personal information on 1.2 million federal employees.
Ullmann
graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Management with an emphasis in Finance. He flew on active duty for seven years,
including missions during the Iran/Iraq War and three years as a flight
instructor. While stationed in Oklahoma, he earned a Master's degree in
International Affairs from the University of Oklahoma. After leaving the service
in the 1992, Ullmann joined Smith Barney in Jacksonville. Subsequently, he
opened and grew the Jacksonville office of a regional investment firm from two
to thirty employees in five years and was responsible for more than $300 million
in client assets. He established Ullmann Financial in 2002 and published his
first book, "Landing a Smooth Retirement," last year.
Ullmann Financial
Group manages more than $80 million in assets and works with more than 400
affluent households. Glenn Ullmann lectures throughout the country on the need
for discipline, simplicity, optimism and professional advice to define and
