Plainfield Mom Takes Bandana's to the Next Level

Local mother creates more uses for the original bandana.

Plainfield, IL (PRWEB) June 5, 2005 -- Just more than six months ago, this mother of three, Phyllis Pometta was in search of ways to earn a living from home. Having given birth to her third child in late August 2004, returning to work was not the best option for her.

After countless nights, Pometta realized the answer to her problem was staring right back at her. It was because of the green baby eyes belonging to her newborn, that Bandana Boutique was also born. The very next day, Pometta started her new business venture by creating her first baby blanket. Next was a pillow, window valance and crib skirt. Pometta completely designed her new baby's bedroom simply by using a regular bandana.

"All babies are unique, so why can't their bedding be just as unique, if not more?" says Pometta, "There are many designer baby blankets out there, but none that are made solely from bandanas."

Shortly after the baby's room was completed, Pometta's oldest daughter suggested that she make something for her too. The bandana halter was created with her in mind. From there it was decided that a website was needed to showcase all of her creations.

The Website includes custom baby blankets to where the customer is encouraged to choose which colors will make up their unique and one of a kind baby blanket. You are able to purchase the blanket alone or in a five piece set that includes a matching bumper pad, pillow, crib skirt and white crib sheet.

In May 2005, just six months old, BandanaBoutique.com is receiving hits from all over the US, Canada, Pakistan, China, Brazil and the UK.

"I am very proud of what I have created thus far," laughs Pometta, "however, my ideas for creating new bandana products are endless."
