ZALEMARK and PNJ to Explore Venture
Zalemark aids Vietnam's largest Manufacturing Jeweler to open trade opportunities with the United States
Northridge, CA (PRWEB) May 12, 2005 -- Zalemark, Inc. has initiated a joint
venture with a Vietnamese jewelry manufacturer that will expand Zalemark's
product line into the Vietnamese market and pave the way for more United States
companies to trade in Vietnam. Phunhaun Jewelry Jointstock Company (PNJ) will
host a boutique manufacturing facility inside its own factory to manufacture
Zalemark products at a quality level previously unattainable in Vietnam.
Zalemark will oversee the installation, sending experienced trainning staff,
tooling, and equiptment to outfit the facility. Zalemark's temporary on-site
employees will train PNJ personnel to produce Zalemark's finely crafted jewelry
at Zalemark's own exacting standards. The joint effort is slated to begin within
90 days.
In addition to licensing and distributing Steven Zale's award
winning proprietary designs and celebrity endorsed lines to PNJ for sale in
Vietnam, Zalemark will offer to administrate the establishment of a US branch of
the proposed Vietnam Manufacturing Jewelers Association. The presence of a US
branch will help Vietnamese companies to penetrate the competitive US market,
and aide domestic companies with trade in Vietnam.
A portion of the
proceeds from the sale of Zalemark products in Vietnamwill be donated to a
foundation being set up jointly by the two companies. The foundation will
bebefit Vietnamese individuals and families affected by the United States" use
of Agent Orange during the late 60"s and early 70"s. "Agent Orange" was an
herbicide used by the US to defoliate areas in which military operations were
being conducted, eliminating cover that could be used to conceal weapons and
assets. The herbicide, a mix of two chemicals (2,4,D and 2,4,5,T), was found to
be harmful to man and was discontinued in 1971. Like many US veterans who served
in Vietnam during that time, many Vietnamese families were harmed by the use of
these chemicals. The foundation established by Zalemark and PNJ will provide aid
and information to those affected.
