“Men need this product just as
much as women, and I've sold to many male customers,” says Anita Nagurka, owner
of Strands. “Naturally, they choose the braided leather or sterling silver chain
styles because the beaded styles are too feminine and frilly. Feedback from male
customers indicated that they wanted something less flashy and less shiny, so I
developed the Unisex Style.”
The new collection features natural stones
and other materials in muted colors with darker hardware. They are less obvious
than the colorful beaded styles, but they’re every bit as fashionable and
functional as the rest of the eyeglass necklace line.
The collection is
also features slightly longer starting lengths - although almost any length is
available upon request - to allow for a man’s larger frame. A lobster claw clasp
at each end allows for ease of use and symmetry, although most of them are long
enough to slip over the head.
“While the collection is subdued and
intended to appeal to men, it’s really for anyone,” says Nagurka. “Female
customers will also appreciate the understated style.”
Like all Strands
eyeglass necklaces, the new collection is high quality, distinctive, and not
mass-produced. It exhibits the craftsmanship evident throughout the Strands line
which customers appreciate.
