Seattle, WA (PRWEB) June 19, 2005 -– Pethop.com today announced the launch of
‘Paw Fiction’, the first online pet video contest of its kind.
“If you
have caught your pet doing something funny, amazing or interesting on video,
‘Paw Fiction’ is your opportunity to share it with the world,” says Jeffrey
Wang, founder of Pethop.com. “By uploading your video to our online community,
you and your pet will have a chance at a bit of fame and fortune.”
The
first place winner of the contest will receive $100 and an additional $100 will
be donated to an animal shelter in their neighborhood, in keeping with the
site’s commitment to helping pets find great homes. A prize of $50 will also be
awarded to the second place winner and their respective animal
shelter.
Pethop.com, a one-stop-shop online community catering to the
needs of pet lovers, was established in April of this year. According to Wang,
the site differs from other pet related sites by offering inventive features,
unique to Pethop.com.
“Our site offers pet lovers a fun way to showcase
their pets’ personality on the web,” says Wang. “Through our unique
customization tool, users have the chance to make their pet’s page truly unique,
unlike any other pet’s homepage on the net.”
The site also helps connect
users with adoption agencies and features a lost-and-found center where visitors
can post detailed information and photos to help reunite people with their lost
pets. For pets looking for love, their owners can help them find it through
PetMatch, a unique feature that will match their pet with another one of the
same breed in their neighborhood.
Wang sees the pet video contest as a
perfect match for Pethop.com. “We’re excited to host the first online pet video
contest as it gives pet lovers the opportunity to share their pets with the
world,” says Wang. “And sharing the love of your pet is what our site is all
about.”
To enter the online pet video contest, visit www.pethop.com and click on the
‘Paw Fiction’ banner. Contest closes July 10, 2005.
