Some of the products scheduled to be on display at this
year’s show will be “Intelligent First Aid,” a talking first aid kit that can
take the guesswork out of first aid while giving the user the confidence and
knowledge to handle an injury, “Dr. Jamie’s Couture Glasses,” glasses that would
be used directly after rhinoplasty or nose surgery; would enable the user to
wear glasses without putting pressure on the bridge of the nose, and
“Stormtell,” a severe weather detector for home use that monitors changes in
barometric pressure and sounds an alarm when a tornado or storm is
approaching.
“INPEX® is an opportunity for inventors to display their
ideas, and try to make contacts or receive feedback from other inventors,
companies interested in new products and the general public,” explained Jennifer
Lawlor, Trade Show Director.
Exhibits at INPEX® cover a range of product
categories and are in various stages of development. Some exhibits showcase
technological advancements, while others feature simple improvements to existing
products. Some inventors display sketches or blueprints, and others have an
inventory of finished products. INPEX® offers companies a source for inventions
and new product ideas.
Attendees include manufacturers, distributors,
catalogue retailers, investors and others interested in a broad range of product
categories.
Another part of the tradeshow is INPEX® Inventors University,
sponsored by The Invention Show. The University is a series of seminars,
presentations, and panel discussions and will feature this year’s keynote
speakers Jeff and Rich Sloan, from the weekly syndicated radio show,
StartupNation®. Inventors and entrepreneurs themselves, the Sloan Brothers will
tape an hour long show on the final day of INPEX®. For a complete list of
seminar speakers go to http://www.inventionshow.com/05_university/.
Exhibitors
at INPEX® can also utilize the Resource Center, an opportunity for exhibitors to
meet with representatives from a variety of organizations and business
professionals such as Jill Lublin, CEO of Promising Promotion and author of the
best selling book, Guerilla Publicity. Exhibitors can also check out the three
pavilions offered at the trade show, the Intellectual Property Pavilion, the
Prototyping Pavilion and the Manufacturing Pavilion. With experts available to
answer questions, these pavilions will help assist exhibitors in many different
aspects of their invention.
An international jury judges inventions,
which are awarded gold, silver and bronze medals, cash prizes, and corporate
trophies at the INPEX® awards dinner, sponsored by IBI Global. INPEX® the
Invention Show will be held June 8-11, at the ExpoMart in Pittsburgh. For more
