CellForCash.com Unveils QuickShip, which Gets Cash Quickly into the Hands of People Selling Used Cell Phones
People simply visit the CellForCash.com website, print out a mailing label, and send in their phone. CellForCash.com then sends a check
Ocala, FL (PRWEB) June 18, 2005 -- CellForCash.com, a web site that offers
cash for used cell phones, today unveiled QuickShip, a new feature that speeds
up the cell phone sale process.
“QuickShip was designed for people in a
hurry,” said James Mosieur, chief executive officer of RMS Communications Group
Inc., CellForCash.com’s parent company. “It cuts out a number of steps and gets
the used cell phone into our hands faster than ever before, and that means that
we can issue a check for cell phone more promptly.”
With QuickShip,
people simply go to the www.CellForCash.com website, fill in their information, print
out a mailing label, and drop their phone in the mail. CellForCash.com then
evaluates the phone, determines its value, and issues a check if the phone is
one of the many models that CellForCash.com will buy.
Using the standard
CellForCash.com system, people visit the website, looked up their phone model,
determined its value from a listing on the website, and requested a mailer box,
which is sent to them in the mail. The phone is then put in the box by the
seller and sent to CellForCash.com, which sends a check by return
mail.
The new feature takes a number of steps out of the process and
makes it possible for the seller to get a CellForCash.com check faster than ever
before. The downside, according to Mosieur, is that the phone is not appraised
for value until it actually gets to CellForCash.com. Phones that are found not
to have cash value are not returned to the sender.
Both QuickShip and the
original system are available for use on the CellForCash.com website, Mosieur
said.
“QuickShip is a great alternative for people who want to get cash
for their used cell phones as quickly as possible,” Mosieur said. “Of course,
there is no price guarantee, and some cell phones may have no value. In that
event, the cell phones are either recycled in an environmentally responsible
fashion, or they are turned over for use in our 911 program.”
RMS
Communications Group donates thousands of phones every year to shelters and 911
programs across the country.
