LA based photographer Harry Jason Lowell will be in New York July 15th, 2004 scouting out a prime location to shoot a new piece to add to his ‘New Day’ collection, a series of limited edition photographs.
His works have been presented to celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey to commemorate her 50th birthday celebration and to Katie Couric for her recent induction into the Television Academy Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 13, 2004 -- He’s also been invited to present
one of his commemorative pieces to the prestigious Asian American Film Festival
as they celebrate twenty-seven years in organizing the festival. “We are honored
to receive the gift,” says the Executive Director, Risa Morimoto of CineVision.
Lowell will present the signed limited edition at the July 16th opening gala
reception.
His work is a continuing series of limited edition photographs
entitled 'New day,'a collection of early morning photographs taken each dawn.
With a library of thousands of sunrise photos dating back to 2001, Harry¹s 'New
day' artwork has been used to honor many special events and special days in
people¹s lives. The series allows collectors to select images from specific
dates, uniquely commemorating births, anniversaries, weddings and marking
milestones in business.
Until recently, Lowell’s exquisite pieces
were only available to private collectors searching for sentimental and
inimitable ways to celebrate special occasions. Some were sold to recognize 911
and the fallen heroes. Recently Harry Lowell Photography launched an online
website art gallery for the general public. The online gallery collection boast
photos of vast skies in an array of vivid colors, hushed grays, snowy banks and
more. Lowell shoots with a style and perspective rich in sentiment. He has a
true vision of what mood he aims to convey in the message of his photographs.
Limited selections of his present body-of-work consist of breathtaking sunrises
from all over the world.
Harry Jason Lowell’s passion for bringing
moments and memories to life stem from watching his father take photographs. In
a recent interview Lowell was asked to comment on why it seems his photographs
takes the onlooker on a journey; tells a story and gives one a sense of peace.
"It's that feedback that causes me to strive to leave people who view my work
with a keen connection and memory of why that certain piece impacted them,"
states Lowell who admits that he will only shoots with a Canon product, his
favorite when asked about what type of camera he uses. "The Canon Powershot S50
and powershot pro 1. It's flexible. As a photograper, I can appreciate being
able to concentrate on telling the story."
